Ok, so over the years I’ve tried out linux and its always been something that was nice to play around with but never something that I would use for day to day use. However, not the case any longer.
If you have not tried Linux lately, check it out again. Check out the following if you’re going to convert (most are included with a good distro):
Mandrake 10 is a good distro to start/become an expert with.
XMMS (of course)
Mozilla Firefox (wow, the Mozilla project has done some amazing things)
Mozilla Calendar (better than KOrganizer imo but could still use work but thats ok its at like 0.6 or something)
Mozilla Thunderbird (nice features)
I wish there was tighter integration between Mozilla components (when not using Mozilla but Firefox).
KHotKeys… Wow… Mouse Gestures… how did we ever live without them?
More mouse gestures… with extensions in Firefox.

GAIM – Way better than AIM… well, some of the features are still a bit lacking but its WIP.
